English Heritage brand development
In 2023 our team embarked on an ambitious brand refresh. I worked as part of the dedicated brand team to develop the new visual strategy. As senior digital designer I was responsible for the roll out of the new brand across all digital touch points, including the redesign of the English Heritage website, social channels, and all video and motion design.
I also advocated for the new brand guidelines to be developed on a digital platform to ensure it was as accessible to as many people in the organisation as possible

I acted as lead designer on the redesign of the English Heritage website’s homepage and join pages in line with the new brand positioning. We created a flexible system of reusable components which could be adapted to suit the needs to further pages in the future.

My favourite aspect of the rebrand was developing the motion principles for our all video content. We created a cohesive system of motion behaviours which allowed flexibility but stayed consistent no matter the format.
Designing the logo ident was a fun challenge, and we explored many different options before settling upon the final design where the crenelated square bounces out and the wordmark slides out behind.
