Video & animation

With a strong foundation in art direction and storytelling, my work in video and animation blends creative vision with technical precision. From initial concept development and detailed storyboarding to editing and motion design, I craft compelling visual narratives that engage and inform. Whether it's promotional content, animated explainers, or cinematic edits, each project reflects a thoughtful balance of aesthetics and purpose.

The Victorian Way

The video series “the Victorian Way” is one of English Heritage’s most popular digital initiatives, amassing hundreds of thousands of views since it’s launch. The series features the actress Kathy Hipperson in the role of Mrs Avis Crocombe, a head cook at Audley End House during the 1880s. Her characterful representation of the cook has won the hearts of the youtube audience worldwide.

I was lucky enough to be involved in the production of this series between 2019 and 2023, where I worked on set as Art Director, overseeing set design and on-set coordination, as well as ensuring visual consistency of props and framing between takes.

My contributions extended into video editing, where I shaped pacing, applied careful colour grading, and refined motion transitions to highlight Mrs Crocombe’s charismatic narration.

Hidden Landscapes

Historically accurate recreations of ruins on Dartmoor for a video series called ‘Hidden Landscapes’, illustrated and animated over drone footage of the sites.

Have you met?

A series of short, vibrant but informative social videos featuring the comedian Annie McGrath. Each video explored a different historical personality with wit and humour. I was heavily involved in the production of this series storyboarding and editing the videos as well as illustrating the assets and animating the visuals which accompany the video.
